I bought the manual to find out specific specifications for front end alignment for my car - they don't even include it because they say you need to have special tools to do it, therefore there is no point in telling you what the specs are. I also spotted some descriptions that are wrong, the Crown Vic changed in 2004 and has some suspension improvements which aren't reflected in this book. In addition, this book says the CV has a standard steering box, but mine has rack and pinion steering... that's kind of big difference that they should have documented correctly.

Maybe it's me

They sent the proper book and it was received in a timely manner, but wasn't exactly what I expected, which I guess isn't really the vendor's fault. I bought the book to fix two things, but both subjects were not detailed with the specific guidance I was looking for.

Handy Some Times

It's an OK manual that covers a very broad range of years. It's limited in information and part break downs and if you're looking for detailed diagrams with part numbers, you're going to need the official Ford manual from Helm Inc. The manual seems more difficult to use when you begin to get into the troubleshooting parts. Some of the references and steps can be very vague or not covered at all. I should have saved my money and bought the offical Ford Manual specific to my model and year.
